Why I joined Basic Needs: When my parents were in college, they struggled to afford necessities. They persevered, though, obtaining their degrees and eventually gaining financial stability. I joined Basic Needs to help those in similar situations feel supported as they pursue their goals at the University of Iowa.

As a public health student, I am passionate about health equity, and joining this team allows me to help our campus community live healthier and happier lives.
